CAA's History

July/August 2001--God plants the idea in a line from Gilbert Morris' Ramparts of Heaven. "Is it bad to walk in the forest? Of course not. But if its all you ever think about, then certainly."

August/September 2001- CAA officially opens. First address: HYPERLINK "http://www.geocities.com/canimealliance" www.geocities.com/canimealliance First real member (i.e. not a friend of mine) was ShiroiHikari. Archan joins shortly.

December 2001/January 2002- since CAA is not taking off, Ashley considers closing CAA down for good as a hopeless cause

Spring 2002- the MSN branch of CAA opens. First assist. Manager is Archan. HYPERLINK "http://www.groups.msn.com/caa" www.groups.msn.com/caa

April 2002- Shatterheart joins as second assist. manager

April/May-ish 2002- Gypsy joins as our third and last assist. manager at MSN

Summer 2002- I believe this is when the pilgrim's progress idea started

Fall 2002- CAA celebrates it's first birthday. Ronin themed.

December 2002- Shatterheart and I spend countless nights trying to upgrade the forums to "ikonboard", a freebie version of UBB and VB. We were at a cheapie place called netfirms. For a long time, we struggled to with the system...first trying to find somewhere free that offered PHP and Perl capabilities, then with installing the system...and I was getting sick every morning. Not fun in the least. Also, our very first ever troll wave hits Christmas Eve. Gypsy, Shatterheart, and I move with exceptional speed and determination and squash it quickly. Really made me realize what a great team we made.

January 2003- we return home to MSN, disappointed.

May 2003- DJNoz comes along and offers to have new forum with new domain name. We of course, accept in shock.

June 2003- Shatterheart, Inkhana and ShiroiHikari are added as our first mods

September 2003 - Oldphilosopher (Mithrandir), Shooraijin, and UC Pseudonym added as mods

October 2004 - Ashley speaks at a panel with Keely of Anime Angels at OniCon in Houston

Summer 2008 - RadicalDreamer added as mod
